The topic of interior design appears on our blog from time to time. It is invariably relevant. News appear here regularly; most often associated with the modification of known and liked ways of interior design. The styles known from the past, to which a bit of modernity are added, also come back from time to time.

All this is due to the fact that we like change. More interesting and convenient solutions emerge, our tastes change. Thanks to various portals and catalogs, we can completely change our interiors. Today we also devote a blog to interior design. The holidays are over, and sunny autumn is also a fun time to play as an interior decorator.

Japandi - characteristics
The Japandi style is called the continent style because it combines the Scandinavian style with the Japanese style. The elements of the Orient are diversified by Scandi and create interiors full of harmony. The common denominator here are minimalism, simplicity and functionality. The severity of the Scandinavian style is enriched with elements characteristic of centuries-old Japanese culture. It is primarily refinement, attention to detail and closeness to nature, as well as giving a second life to old objects. Japandi are nice items characterized by simple lines and functionality. There is no room for unnecessary knick-knacks here.

Japandi style furniture is made of wood - bed frames, benches, tables, wardrobes. It is the basic material that is sometimes placed even on selected walls. Inside there are low and simple furniture; lockers, chests of drawers, lockers and sliding wardrobes. The floors are often stone. The elements of Japandi are often characterized by a deliberate asymmetry and imperfection, which is normal in the natural world.

This style is also earth tones. Beige and brown, off green, cool blue and gray, as well as contrasting white and black. Stronger colors, eg gold or red, are used exceptionally in order to draw attention to a given element of decoration. The materials used in Japandi are of course natural materials. In addition to the previously mentioned wood and stone, there are also clay, linen and cotton in textiles, wool (blankets), silk, rice paper, metal accents, rattan, woven grass and bamboo accessories and glass (e.g. large mirrors).

Finally, lighting, which is an important element of this style. Natural light should be muffled and soft, therefore it is necessary to use shields. There is no place for chandeliers, pendants or spotlights. Japandi is a side, floor and ceiling lighting; rather muffled. Candles and lanterns will also work very well here, creating a unique atmosphere in the evening.

Japandi style window covers
Window covers used in the Japandi style should be made of natural materials. We can use Wooden blinds, especially those made of bamboo. Decorative curtains - airy and delicate, rather in the form of subtle curtains. They'll be a good idea too Roman blinds and we can also choose materials with a more delicate texture.

The window covers dim the natural light and make the interior more subtle. They will also help to regulate the intensity of the sun and the degree of illumination of rooms.
