Characteristics of aluminum blinds

Aluminum blinds are a classic in the field of window covers and one of the first of their kind on the market. They belong to the group of internal shields, they cannot be used outside. Initially, there was only one color to choose from, silver-gray. Then white also appeared. Aluminum blinds were installed between the panes due to the double glazing in the window frames of the time. Their main purpose was to darken the rooms - at night, to protect the interiors from the glare of night lights, and during the day to limit the heating of rooms. At that time, the decorative function of blinds was not yet taken into account.

The window blinds market developed, and so did aluminum blinds. They were among the first to appear on the market, but they should not be considered obsolete. Features of aluminum blinds

Window covers fulfill two important functions: they are to effectively shield the interior from excessive sunlight and be an aesthetic complement to the interior of the house/apartment.

The functionality of aluminum blinds consists of several elements:
Lamellas. The lamellas are horizontal, longitudinal slats from which the blind is made. By controlling the louver mechanism, we set them at an appropriate angle to regulate the amount of light entering the room. We can also raise the lamellas and leave the entire surface of the glass exposed. However, in terms of functionality, the most important feature of blinds is the ability to adjust the slope of the slats. In this way, in the warmest time of the day, the windows are completely covered, and with the passage of time and changes in the angle of incidence of light, the position of the slats can be changed. The shading of the rooms not only prevents us from feeling the discomfort of being blown by the sun's rays, but also keeps the room cool during hot weather. Adjusting the slat inclination allows you to use the daylight without the need to expose the windows, and thus heat the apartment.
The offer of aluminum blinds includes lamellas in three widths: 16mm, 25mm or 50mm. The size of the window determines the choice of the lamella width. It is assumed that blinds with narrower slats, ie 16mm and 25mm, are more suitable for smaller windows, they fit nicely into a smaller area and do not give the impression of "too large". On the other hand, wider blinds - 50mm are suitable for larger eyes. Not only will they blend in nicely with your windows, they will also be easier to control.
Assembly. The assembly of aluminum blinds is very simple, they can be placed on the window frame, in the window recess, on the wall or on the ceiling. The method of installation is influenced by the size of the shield, eg smaller ones can be placed on the window frame, while larger ones should be mounted to the wall or ceiling. The non-invasive assembly is possible with aluminum blinds with a slat width of 16mm and 25mm (without a cassette).
Control. Aluminum blinds can be controlled manually by means of a mechanism placed on the right or left side (the choice is made when placing an order) or electrically by means of a remote control.
Cleaning. Aluminum blinds are cleaned in three different ways: with a special brush that thoroughly sweeps the dust between the lamellas, washing the slats with a damp cloth dipped in water with a mild detergent, every now and then by removing the covers and washing them in water with a mild detergent.

Aluminum blinds mean not only functionality, but also aesthetics. The extensive offer allows you to easily adjust them to the interior design, its character and colors.

The colors of aluminum blinds are the most extensive among all types of covers, and the palette includes new colors. So there is no problem with matching them to the color of the window joinery, walls or furniture. An extensive color palette makes it possible not only to integrate them into the decor, but also to match the functions of the rooms: in living rooms or kitchens, we can use lighter colors, and e.g. darker colors in bedrooms, giving better shading. The palette ranges from white, through pastel, subdued colors, and further more intense, to black.

In addition to the extensive colors, when choosing aluminum blinds, we also decide on the type of slats. You can choose from here: classic, wood-like or perforated blinds. For wood-like covers, in which the lamellas are designed in the colors of the wood, you can choose wooden accessories - a top gutter cover and a turning knob. When it comes to perforated blinds, their characteristic feature are tiny holes in the slats. This makes them look very original and modern. The buttonholes also contribute to the fact that it is not completely dark in rooms with closed blinds. Sunlight passes through the holes and is slightly diffused. Perforation in the shutter slats is important if we are often at home during the day, eg working at the computer. Due to the ability to diffuse light, wide perforated blinds will also prove useful in offices. This type of blinds is considered to be one of the most modern solutions in the field of internal covers.
