Window decoration - what you should pay attention to while selecting a window cover

Issues related to window decorations are important for many reasons; they're related to interior aesthetics, its functionality and complementation of your whole house's or apartment's style. There is an abundance of possibilities in this scope, starting from colours, through textures and ending at ways of installations.

The decision on your window cover may change the interior completely. It is believed that things within the window space are less important than the interior design itself. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The advantage of roller blinds is that they will never make the windows hardly accessible.

Colours of a window cover

Window decoration may combine in colour with other interior elements in a harmonious way, or on the contrary it may pose a contrasting accent, which is intended to overcome the colours and make the whole interior more vivid.
What is more, colour has impact on development of natural light. Warm hues, such as e.g. yellow, golden or ground red will pose an accent that will warm up the interior, so they are perfect for rooms with less sunlight. Neutral colours, such as e.g. brown, beige, faded orange or various shades of blue will have a soothing effect, helping to level the strong sunlight.
You should also remember that bright colours are capable of making the rooms look bigger. But it doesn't mean that let the light through (as many people are afraid of). It is the fabric that the cover is made of, not its colour, that impacts light permeability.
